This past weekend, my sisters-in-law threw me a baby "sprinkle" that -- as I mentioned in my last baby sprinkle post -- is pretty hard for people to actually do when a new baby is involved. It was probably more accurate to say we got drenched and showered with baby girl goodies.
They reserved Studio Bham which is such a great spot to have a bridal or baby shower. It's just the right intimate size while also being open and having all the set up items you need. I'm always a big fan of how events turn out there.
The "baby in bloom" theme was right up my alley and perfect for spring .. lots of flowers (wrist corsage by Gold Leaf Floral), greenery, potted succulents for game prizes + herb and flower seeds for favors.
My cousin (who is due late August) and I ended up unintentionally matching our outfits with our baby bumps... We are both having girls, too! I don't care who you are... that's cute. We moved out of our house this week, and I honestly don't even know how I found a decent outfit to throw together in the madness. When in doubt, find an ASOS maternity shirt and a maxi skirt to hike up and call it a day.
My sisters and friends know my favorite things so well. Church Street Coffee "break-up cookies", my sis-in-law's famous sugar cookie fruit tarts, a strawberry cake with homemade jam filling made and decorated by my friend Sarah of Gold Leaf Floral... all instant ways to kill any self-control for not eating sweets.
The shower activities were really fun and low-key. They had a pass-the-gift every time I opened something pink, a guess-the-birthday calendar, and a game to guess how many hershey kisses were in a jug. Let's talk about how someone guessed she'll be born 12 days late... Aunt Cyndy. I'm lookin' at you if that happens.
Little Joie, I still can't believe you exist! You are very loved and have a lot of incredible people waiting to meet you!
